Formational Prayer

What is formational prayer?

Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom. And we all, who with unveiled faces contemplate the Lord’s glory, are being transformed into his image with ever-increasing glory, which comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit.

2 Corinthians 3:17-18

Formational Prayer, or FP as we like to call it, is a ministry that helps people grow spiritually by the power of the Holy Spirit. What does that mean exactly? Instead of relying on ourselves, or others to show us our next step in our spiritual journey, we rely on Jesus to minister to us. In FP, Jesus helps us to see ourselves how He sees us. Through FP we experience the Bible in an intimate and personal way that forms our thoughts, feelings, and even our behaviors.

Life is messy and our life experiences can shape how we view ourselves, others, and even God. FP reminds us that Jesus trumps all of those messy life experiences as He continues to draw us closer to Him as disciples. Over time, as we respond from a more secured identity in Jesus and less out of our own brokenness. By the power of the Holy Spirit, we ask Jesus to enter into our messy lives and speak truth.

Formational Prayer classes include introductory classes like Healing Care Groups and more advanced classes like Pathways and The Healing Power of Forgiveness. We also have beginner and advanced seminars. To find out more about each class please see below.
