Financial Peace University
Financial Peace University is a 9-week class that teaches God’s way of handling money. Through video teaching, class discussions, and interactive small group activities, FPU presents Biblical, practical steps to get from where you are to where you’ve dreamed you could be. This plan will show you how to get rid of debt, manage your money, spend and save wisely, and much more. Join us for FPU beginning February 1 on Thursdays or beginning March 5 on Mondays. Both sessions will meet from 6:30-8:30pm. Faith Legacy 10th Grade step – Enjoy the Ride!
Are you a parent of a 10th grader? Your teen might be anxious to start driving, looking forward to getting the keys to the family car and heading out on the road! You might be anxious or worried and a little in awe at how fast time flies. Join us on January 28 at 10:45 for our Faith Legacy step, Enjoy the Ride! This presentation will emphasize God’s plan for growing independence, learning and using the language of accountability and trust and clarifying expectations for responsible choices. Pastor Roger will present a learning topic and discussion among parents and their teens. It’s a fun, relational experience and a great opportunity to invite other parents and their teens. Guest Experience Ministry Assistant
To provide support and resources for our Guest Experience teams and promote a church wide culture of enthusiastic welcome to our guests. This ministry position is 19 hours per week. Required work schedule: Sunday mornings, Monday & Tuesdays in the office, Wednesday nights when Kids Kount is in session, Kids Kount special events as needed. This position will manage schedules and provide support to the Guest Experience teams; oversee follow up of 1st, 2nd and 3rd time visitors; empower and multiply volunteers; assist with coordination of weekly Sunday rallies; collaborate with Kids Kount to ensure an enthusiastic invitation and welcome on Sunday mornings, Wednesday nights and special events; set up check-in computers, oversee signage and facility readiness for guest reception; additional duties as agreed on. Qualified applicant will be a spiritually mature Christian, diligent in leading a life of committed discipleship and commitment to the mission, vision and core values of King of Kings; the ability to operate in a multiple staff ministry setting through effective communication, interpersonal teamwork, organization, discernment and cognitive skills, display a ‘never met a stranger’ personality in all interactions. Hand of Hope Mission Trip
When Category 4 Hurricane Harvey made landfall last August, sustained wind speeds were over 130mph and total rainfall in the Houston area topped 24”! The storm impacted over 250 miles of the Texas coast and cleanup help is needed for the foreseeable future. The need for help is vast both along the gulf coast and far inland. Join Hand of Hope for a mission trip to Texas beginning Saturday, February 24 through Saturday, March 3. The cost of the trip is $325. We will be teaming with a church coalition in Spring, TX to assist with drywall installation and a wide variety of finish work and other jobs to match our skills.
