• This Is Us – Join us Wednesday nights this fall for an eleven-week study about God’s saving plan for the world and our part in it.  We’ll learn more about our identity in Christ, our renewed purpose and values as a church, and how our individual gifts can transform our church and the world. • Kids Kamp – Join us on Wednesdays September 6 through November 15. We’ll share dinner from 5:30-6:30pm, programming will take place from 6:30-7:45pm for 3 year olds to 6th grade! Theme is Agents of God. Each week we will have enthusiastic worship, meaningful bible events, service projects, and wacky games. Please pre-register online at kingofkingsomaha.org. • Holy Land Tour: In the Footsteps of Jesus – Pastor Roger will be hosting a tour of the Holy Land called “In the Footsteps of Jesus,” in September of 2018. Join us for an informational meeting on Sunday, August 27 from 11am to 12:15pm in the Core Gathering Room. We will sample some mid-eastern cuisine compliments of our tour company and hear all the details of this once in lifetime adventure! This is sure to be a great time with friends, but even more significantly, it will be your own spiritual pilgrimage that will leave you closer to Jesus than when you began. • Financial Peace University – is a 9-week class that teaches God’s ways of handling money. Through video teaching, class discussions, and interactive small group activities, FPU presents Biblical, practical steps to get from where you are to where you’ve dreamed you could be. This plan will show you how to get rid of debt, manage your money, spend and save wisely, and much more. Classes will meet on Thursdays beginning September 7 from 6:30-8:30pm. • Legacy Journey – is a 7-week, Biblically based class that teaches you how to live and leave a legacy for generations to come. This class will lead you deeper into investing, basic estate planning, purposeful living, safeguarding your legacy, and discovering the keys to generational wealth and generosity. Through video and class discussions you’ll learn a framework for living intentionally now so that later you’ll be able to leave a legacy to make an impact on the world. Classes will meet on Tuesdays beginning September 5 from 6:30-8:30pm. Cost is $115, please register online at kingofkingsomaha.org.

• King of Kings’ Habitat for Humanity – team is looking for volunteers to help with food, prayer and good old hard work on Saturday, September 16 from 8:30am – 4pm.  If you have been looking for a way to get “active” in the church and serve a great God – Habitat is the place for you-no experience required!   We are part of a 12-church coalition that is re-constructing a home at 2577 Pinkney Street.  Please send your email contact to Dave Zauha to be included on email blasts about the upcoming work day and build.

• Spiritual Formation Seminar Series – Join us on Saturday mornings in August for our Spiritual Formation Seminar Series: Experience More of Jesus. • Unlocked Seminars– are affordable, faith based counseling and seminars for men and women dealing with anxiety. If you are dealing with anxiety issues, there’s help available. Check out 3 seminars coming in August! August 15-Mind Fitness Seminar, August 22-Relational Fitness Seminar and August 29-Calm Mind Seminar. Unlocked seminars are led by Nate Seadore and Brenda Neyens, who have 30-years of combined experience as nationally certified counselors and are experts in the field of anxiety. • Growth Groups – Want to connect with other followers of Jesus? Are you looking for a group of people to do life with? Meet with other believers by joining a growth group. Growth Groups meet regularly with others in similar life stages, to study the Bible, encourage one another and share life’s moments with the purpose of growing and maturing in their faith. • LWML School Supply Drive – The Lutheran Women in Mission are collecting school supplies and assembling school kits for Lutheran World Relief. LWR is a non-profit that helps the world’s poorest. Our goal is to fill 150 bags. Items to donate include 70-page wire bound notebooks; rulers (inches & centimeters); #2 pencils; pencil sharpeners; blunt end scissors; pens, black or blue (no gel ink please); 24 count crayons, and 2 ½” pink erasers. Purchase any amount of these items & bring your donations to the Church Office marked LWR by the end of August. The women of the LWML thank you for your generous support of this project. Questions? • Concordia Academy – Concordia Academy located at 90th & Blondo Streets, has a part-time position open for the 2017-2018 school year. The Learning Center Aide position is after school between 2-6pm and occasional morning hours between 7pm-8:30am. The schedule will be 5-15 hours per week. Qualified candidates will be 18+ years old, active members of a Christian congregation-with preference given to members of the LCMS, evidence of love for the Lord, children, and families.
