A group of volunteers from King of Kings recently visited Skinner Magnet School to serve Thanksgiving Dinner to hundreds of neighbors in North Omaha. King of Kings alongside a dozen other churches joined together with a volunteer force of 100  be the hands and feet of Jesus to serve our neighbors in North Omaha. Josh Dotzler, of the Abide Network said “That’s one of the most beautiful things about it. People that might not otherwise come out of their homes, people that wouldn’t otherwise meet each other in the community, can come and have a warm meal, really engage in conversation,” Many of those who were served may not have access to a Thanksgiving meal or otherwise come out of their houses. Ashley Smith, a neighbor said “I’m new to Omaha, so half these people I don’t even know, and they’re just coming up to me saying hi, and I’m getting to know more people,” Our reach to the city is only furthering and because of the commitment of many volunteers from King of Kings, we were able to bless our neighbors and make an impact on our city
