Guest Blogger Tommie Thompson: 16th Annual Tee Off Fore Missions Golf Benefit Raises $46,200 for Missions

Tee Off Fore Missions 2013 021

Today’s guest blog came from Tommie Thompson, Event Chair of our Tee Off Fore Missions Golf Benefit. Thanks for all of your hard work and sharing your success story Tommie! You guys rock! Also thanks to Steve Trusty for the great photos! You can see more photos from the event here.

“Last Monday we had our 16th Tee Off Fore Missions Golf Benefit. The Lord blessed us again with a beautiful day and very generous participants.

We had 152 golfers, 65 hole sponsors, and more than 100 individuals and entities that supported the event. Some donated items to be used as flag and door prizes or in the auctions or that volunteered the day of the event. We will have net proceeds of $46,200 and that brings our 16-event total to $579,500.

The net proceeds will be donated to 20 to 25 different mission activities including: Assurance Women’s Center (used to be called AAA Center for Pregnancy Counseling), Abide Network, Empty Tomb, Hope Center, Step Out and Three Cord Ministries to name a few.

Our committee this year included: my wife Melodee, my daughter Jenny, Neil and Jo Fortkamp, Gary and Stacy Craft, Brian Frevert, Todd Davis, Kathy Rosene, Jeanne Long and Carolyn Hall. Thanks to them for making this event a big success.

If you played golf in the event or otherwise supported it, thanks much. If you did not but want to make a financial contribution now, trust me it is not too late.

Next year’s event will be on September 15, 2014 at Tiburon Golf Club.”
