Mike Heinz Called to Glory

It is with a heavy heart that we share the sad news that our brother, friend, and Director of Family Ministry, Mike Heinz, was called home by his heavenly Father Friday evening after suffering a heart attack. Please keep his dear wife Francie and their daughters Rebecca (and husband Barry) and Sarah (and her husband Josh and their daughter Poa) in your prayers.

Mike was a true man of God and many learned from him and his love of Jesus. He spent over 40 dedicated years serving the Lord in the ministry. “Mr. Mike” faithfully and enthusiastically demonstrated the love of God to children as the Director of Family Ministry for 12 years. He believed faith at home was the greatest legacy a family could build for their children and he helped so many families do just that. The Kingdom of Heaven is celebrating Mike’s arrival as we grieve his loss.

We will be celebrating our dear friend Mike Heinz’s life and legacy Monday, May 6 with a visitation time from 5-7pm. His funeral service will be Tuesday, May 7 at 10am. Both will be held here at King of Kings. Interment will follow at Floral Haven Cemetery in Broken Arrow, OK on May 9, 2013. We hope you will be able to join us and will continue to keep Mike’s family in your prayers. You can read more about Mike’s family in his obituary here. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorials to King of Kings Lutheran Church: Faith Legacy Series.
